Coast guard rescues boat in distress due to engine failure; all fishermen safe

Mangaluru, April 17, 2024: A fishing boat belonging to a person from Karwar which was in distress following an engine failure mid sea was assisted by the Savitribai Pule vessel of the Coast Guard and the fishermen on the boat were rescued on Tuesday.

 

The boat which had ventured into deep sea fishing on April 14 was caught mid sea due to engine failure.  Following a distress call, the Karwar Fisheries Department sought help from the Coast Guard which successfully rescued the fishermen. The boat was also brought ashore safely.
