The new shop is located in front of the RTO in Mangaluru. Speaking at the event, Mangalore City South MLA D Vedavyas Kamath remarked, "Raju Swamy, who mends shoes, footwear, and umbrellas, has been running his shop near the RTO for the past 40 years, and his previous shop had completely deteriorated. This time, on his 49th birthday, he built a shop for a poor cobbler. On behalf of the Mangaluru City Corporation and its citizens, I congratulate him.

"The event was attended by OBC Morcha vice-president Raghavendra, Harshith Kottari, Ramesh Kandettu, former mayor Premananda Shetty, deputy mayor Poornima, and others.
