Coca cola Mir Iqbal Hussain trophy selection match held in the city

Mangalore Sep 15: Under 16 state selections for National match of Coca cola Mir Iqbal Hussain trophy 2010- 2011 was held at Nehru stadium on Wednesday, September 15.

 

Speaking on the occasion, Chairman of Dakshina Kannada district football association (DKDFA) D M Aslam said that DKDFA under Karnataka state football association Bangalore conducted the selection to select the winners to the state tournament.

 

The selection will be held in four districts in the state namely Mysore, Bangalore,
Mangalor and Davengere where the winners will be chosen for the National level
football match. 18 school teams have participated in the selection in Mangalore.

 

Mysore university Football player Narayan Salian inaugurated the programme, joint
secretary of DKDFA Umesh Uchil, former football player for Reserve bank of India P
A Rahaman, Karnataka state football association member Vijay Suvarna who represents Mangalore in the state were present on the occasion.
