College student rescued after jumping into Sea at Someshwar

Mangaluru, November 24, 2024: A college student was rescued by local swimmers after she jumped into the sea from Rudrabanda near Someshwar Temple on Sunday morning.

The young woman, a Mangaluru-based student residing in a rented house in Madur, was saved with the help of rescue equipment available at the site. She was brought ashore and later admitted to Wenlock Hospital in Mangaluru for treatment.

The student is reportedly safe and further details regarding the incident are awaited.
