Compound wall collapses over house at Bajal, no injuries

Mangaluru, July 1, 2024: A poorly constructed compound wall collapsed over a house at Bajal Pallakere Ganadabettu on Sunday. Luckily there were no casualties as the occupants of the house were away when the incident took place.

Locals say this compound wall has collapsed thrice in the past and had caused damage to nearby houses. A local resident had even complained to the DC but there was no strict action.

The damaged house belonged to Radhakrishna and was rented out.

Locals say a compound wall built around a 10 acre private land was resulting in landslides.

As of now the occupants of the house have been shifted to a safer location.
