vasudev 1The kidnapping is reported to have taken place after Adiga dropped a friend of his at Vandaru before proceeding home.

The family on not finding him made a frantic search only to find his pen and other documents near the house.

His bike was found in an abandoned state near the  forest staff quarters at Goliangady  on January 8, Tuesday. A sandal was also found hanging in the bike.

Shankernarayana police have registered a case of missing. Though some sources suspect a land dispute to be the cause of kidnapping, some others say his raising voice against anti-social activities too might be the reason. Investigations are in progress.
