Mangaluru, February 7, 2025: Karkala MLA and State general secretary of the BJP V. Sunil Kumar alleged on Thursday that the Congress is leading “a 60% corrupt government” with “zero development” in the State.
Addressing a protest organised by the BJP against what the party called “anti-people State government” at Karkala in Udupi district, Mr. Kumar, a former Minister, alleged that Congress workers are “working like brokers in government departments.” People can’t get any work done without paying bribe, he alleged.
Mr. Kumar said that the government is not bothered about the deaths of pregnant women in government hospitals. “The financial condition of the government has reached such a level that it has no money for repairing roads and vented dams,” the MLA alleged.
The government has failed to understand the woes of rural people, he said.
The party workers shouted slogans against the government in the protest held in front of the Karkala taluk office.
Kota Srinivas Poojary, MP, Kiran Kumar Kodgi, MLA, Kishore Kumar Kundapur, president, Udupi district unit of BJP, took part in the protest.
