Congress organizes mega vehicle rally demanding Palemar’s resignation

Mangalore, February 11, 2012 : The Congress party, Mangalore North Legislative Constituency, which is represented by MLA Krishna J. Palemar, organized a mega vehicle rally to demand his resignation as the member of the legislative assembly.

Hundreds of them on cars, auto rickshaws, and motorbikes participated in the rally, which commenced at Suratkal and ended at Kavoor.

Moideen Bawa, the president of the Congress DK Minorities Wing, flagged off the rally and accused Palemar, who had to resign for being involved in the porn-viewing episode, of cheating voters. He also accused Palemar of not only breaking his promises, but also supporting anti-people policies.

He further said that the he must quit as the MLA because people who had voted for him are now repenting their action.


Ivan D’Souza, the secretary of the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC), Gangadhar Hosabettu, Sharif Chokkabettu, Shashidhar Hegde, and others participated in the rally.
