Congress questions MLA Bharath Shetty’s “Mini Pakistan” remark; seeks notice from Home Ministry

Mangaluru, August 24, 2024: The recent statement of Mangaluru North MLA Bharath Shetty describing Addoor as a mini-Pakistan has drawn flak, with the Congress demanding that the Karnataka Home Ministry must serve a notice to him and seek his explanation.

Speaking to reporters KPCC Spokesperson M G Hegde, said the  MLA’s statement was an insult to every citizen and demanded his apology.

He further pointed out that  MLA had secured one thousand votes in the four polling booths at Addoor in the previous election and questioned if these voters who voted for him were Pakistanis.
