Cops raid illegal abattoir near Bantwal; one arrested

Bantwal, August 7, 2013: One person was arrested, while three others managed to escape in a raid on an illegal abattoir at Talipadpu near Kaikamba on August 6, Tuesday.

The arrested person has been identified as Basheer. The police, led by Bantwal Circle Inspector Anil S Kulkarni and Police Inspector B Shekhar  had  acted on a tip off and raided the place. Police also seized huge quantity of beef and cattle heads from the place.

 

 

Two vehicles including an autorickshaw and a pick-up vehicle  were seized by the police.

Cattle smuggling vehicle seized at Vittal; 1 arrested

Vittal, Aug 7, 2013: Vittal police who acted on a tip off, have arrested one person on the charges of cattle smuggling  at Vittal Kasaba on August 6, Tuesday.

 

The arrested person has been identified as Kodange Siraj (21). The pick-up vehicle and the two cattle which were found crammed inside, were seized.

Vittal Police have registered a case.
