Couple from Kavoor arrested for drugs peddling

Mangaluru, July 16, 2022: CCB Cops have arrested a couple from their residence at Shankara Nagara in Kavoor, on the charges of possessing ganja.

 

The arrested are Vikhyath alias Vikky Bappal (28) and his wife Anjana (21).  Police have seized 2.2 kg ganja worth Rs 22,000, Rs 1500 cash, digital weighing machine and a mobile phone from the accused. The value of the seized goods is estimated at Rs 92,000.

It is learnt the couple used to sell ganja in Kadri, Jeppu, KPT, M G Road and other places. Police suspect the involvement of some other people in this racket.

The couple has many cases against them. If the man had 13 cases including kidnap and murder attempt, Anjana too faced two cases of assault and murder attempt.
