Court rejects bail plea of accused in case of cheating Fortune Group hotel

Udupi, October 22, 2024: The JMFC Court in Brahmavar has rejected the bail application of Nagesh Poojary (31) of Barkur who was arrested last week for cheating a hotel in Dubai owned by the Fortune Group of over Rs 2.5 crores. The accused had worked as an accountant in the hotel when he reportedly committed financial irregularities.

The Fortune Group is owned by Praveen Kumar Shetty, an NRI entrepreneur hailing from Vakwady in Kundapur.
