DC pays surprise visit to Kanchinadka waste dumping yard

Bantwal, December 18, 2024: Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner Mullai Muhilan on Tuesday paid a surprise visit to the waste disposal unit of Bantwal TMC at Kanchinadkapadavu in Sajipa village.

The DC’s visit followed complaint lodged by local residents with Speaker UT Khader regarding the problems they faced since unscientific waste disposal since the past few several day. The Speaker had instructed the DC to visit the site.

During his visit the DC took the Bantwal TMC Chief Officer to task and directed to dispose wastes in a scientific manner without causing any inconvenience to locals.

Assistant Commissioner Harshavardhan, Ullal Tahsildar Puttaraju and others were present.
