DYFI Vice President Muneer Katipalla to attend international youth festival

Muneer Katipalla manglore todayMangalore, Nov 21: Muneer Katipalla, the vice president of the Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI), state level, will represent India at the 17th World Youth and Students’ Festival, which is scheduled to be held in Johannesburg, South Africa, on Dec 13 – 21. He is one of the 8 delegates chosen from Karnataka to participate in the event.

The World Festival of Youth and Students is an international event organized by the World Federation of Democratic Youth (WDFY), a left-wing youth organization, in collaboration with the International Union of Students. This event is held once in four years.

This year’s festival is based on the motto “let’s defeat imperialism for a world of peace, solidarity, and social transformation.” Around 25,000 delegates from 172 countries are expected to participate in this 9-day festival, during which issues such as environment, world peace, child rights, development, democracy, and others will be discussed.
