Mangaluru, May 1, 2020: The Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry in its revised list has placed Dakshina Kannada district in the Orange Zone on the basis of the number of Coronavirus cases. Earlier the State Health Department had placed Dakshina Kannada District in the Red Zone along with 15 other districts. Prior to that the district was in the Orange Zone.
The latest list released by the Union Ministry on Thursday has once again placed the district in Orange Zone.
So far three Covid-19 patients in the district have died. Of the total 22 cases reported in the district so far only 16 were basically from the district. Four of them were from Kerala and one each from Udupi and Bhatkal.
