Dakshina Kannada secures twin golds in Kabaddi at Karnataka State Games 2025

Udupi, January 23, 2025: At the district stadium in Ajjarakadu, the Dakshina Kannada men’s and women’s teams emerged victorious in the Kabaddi competitions of the Karnataka State Games, clinching twin gold medals with top honors.

In the men’s final, the Dakshina Kannada team once again showcased its dominance, defeating the Bagalkote district team by a margin of 41-18. Leading 24-11 at halftime, Dakshina Kannada maintained its grip on the game throughout. Continuing their aggressive play, they added 17 more points while allowing only 7 to their opponents, securing a convincing 23-point victory.

In the women’s category, Dakshina Kannada triumphed over the host district, Udupi, with a score of 33-23. Leading 18-15 at halftime, the Dakshina Kannada women extended their advantage in the latter half, scoring 15 points and conceding only 8, ultimately sealing a 10-point victory.
