Belthangady, Oct 25, 2015 :Dr. D Veerendra Heggade, Dharmadhikari of Dharmasthala has said that he always considered the service he rendered towards the growth of Dharmasthala institutions as services rendered to Lord Manjunatha.
He was presiding over a simple ceremony organised at the Mahotsava Auditorium at Dharmasthala on October 24 Saturday to mark the 48th anniversary of his Pattabhisheka. Dr Heggade further stated that mankind’s devotion and faith in God will not diminish despite it registering rapid strides in science and technology.
He informed on this occasion that a super speciality block has been added to the Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Hospital at Dharwad. He stated that Dharmasthala has donated Rs 14 crores towards the development of 2000 temples in one year.
Dr Heggade also stated that 34 lakh people have enrolled as members of Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project and have progressed in life.
Renowned Saxophone player Kalaimamani Kadri Gopalnathan who was present as a chief guest said it was his ardent devotion to Lord Manjunatha that helped him excel in his field.
Prof. K Bhyrappa, Vice Chancellor of Mangalore University said the credit of developing the Dharmasthala based institutions and taking them to new heights goes to Dr Heggade.
Dr Heggade felicitated Kadri Gopalnathan while Kadri Gopalnathan and his wife honoured Dr Heggade and Hemavathi Hegade.People who have rendered outstanding contributions to Dharmasthala institutions were also honoured on the occasion by Dr Heggade.
