Bantwal, March 1, 2025: Hundreds of citizens staged a huge protest at Farangipete junction on Saturday to protest against the failure of the Police Department in tracing 17 year old Diganth who has been missing since five days. Diganth, a PUC student and son of Kidebettu Padmanabha Madivala had left home on February 25 saying he was going to a temple, but never returned.
Dakshina Kannada MP Capt. Brijesh Chowta urged the police department to trace the missing boy at the earliest. He also suspected the hands of the drugs racket behind the cases of missing teenager boys and girls.
Mangaluru North MLA Bharath Shetty, MLC Kishore Kumar, District BJP President Satish Kumpala, Belthangady MLA Harish Poonja and others spoke on the occasion and warned of severe protest if the police fail to trace Diganth.
District Superintendent of Police Yatish N who met the protestors at the venue has assured that the police department will not rest until Diganth was traced and promised that the investigation would be intensified.
He also requested the public to share any information they have regarding this case.
