Bengaluru, March 5, 2025: The case of mysterious missing of PUC student Diganth from Farangipete was raised in the state assembly on Wednesday.
Speaker UT Khader who raised the issue during zero hour, questioned about the progress of investigation in the case wherein Diganth is reported missing since February 25 in Farangipete which is in his constituency limits. He also directed the government to take measures to trace Diganth at the earliest.
School Education Minister Madhu Bangarappa who responded to the query in the absence of Home Minister, said a total of seven police teams have been formed under the leadership of the SP.
The investigation is underway at a fast pace but there is no information regarding the missing boy, he added.
The Speaker asked the government to ensure that the case was probed from all angles.
Karkala MLA V Sunil Kumar, Mulki-Moodbidri MLA Umanath Kotian also expressed their concern over the police not being able to trace the boy and urged the government to take the case seriously,.
The minister said he understands the sensitivity of the case and added thate government was committed to ensure a fair investigation.
