District BJP chief dubs ex-DC Sasikanth Senthil as ’anti-national’

Mangaluru, Sep 09, 2019: District BJP President and MLA from Puttur Sanjeeva Matandoor has come down heavily upon  Sasikanth Senthil who last week quit civil services as well as the post of Deputy Commissioner of Dakshina Kannada district.

Speaking to reporters at the party office here on September 9, Monday, Matandoor who initially termed Senthil as a ’traitor’ later changed stance and said Senthil was ’anti-national.’ He also dubbed Senthil as a ’wolf in sheep’s clothing.’

"We all were under the impression that he was a good officer. But his true  colour is exposed.  Did he now realise the  danger to democracy  which he did not see for the past  five years and 100 days?" Matandoor questioned.

The BJP leader said there was a need to conduct a probe regarding the organisations with which Senthil had  links.

"Officials should be impartial,  It is dangerous for a democracy to have an officer with a  politically motivated ideology," he said.

Mangaluru North MLA Bharath Shetty, Harikrishna Bantwal and other BJP leaders were present.
