District Women’s unit celebrates victory of women’s quota bill

Mangalore, March 10: As the Rajya Sabha on Tuesday voted to amend the Constitution to reserve one-third of seats in Parliament and the State Assemblies for women, the members District Congress Women’s Unit celebrated the historical win by embracing each other.

 

Dozens of women gathered at the party office  to celebrate the happiest moment. The women’s unit shared their happiness and victory by bursting crackers. They also distributed sweets, on the occasion.

Mamatha Gatty, Womens Congress district president, Shashikala Prasad, vice president, Bharathi, Secretary, Corporator Appi, Nagaraj Devdas were present.
