District administration temporarily stays hike in private bus fares

Mangaluru, July 5, 2021: Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner Dr Rajendra K V has said that  the  administration has temporarily stayed the hike in bus fares introduced by the DK Bus Operators’ Association.

The Deputy Commissioner gave the above information after holding talks with representatives of the Bus Operators’ Association on July 5, Monday. He said the bus operators have been directed to  continue with the fare that existed  prior to lockdown. He said RTA meeting will be held within a week to discuss the issue of fare hike.

The Deputy  Commissioner also stated that the bus operators have agreed to withdraw the hike.
