Doctors take out protest march in Mangaluru

Mangaluru, August 17, 2024: The Mangaluru Chapter of the Indian Medical Association along with like-minded organizations took out a silent march from IMA Hall to DC office on August 17, Saturday demanding justice in the case of rape and murder of a doctor at the R G Kar Hospital in Kolkata. Hundreds of doctors took part in the protest.

IMA Mangaluru Chapter President Dr Ranjan R K, President-elect Dr Jessy Maria D’Souza, DK MP Brijesh Chowta, MLAs Vedavyas Kamath, Bharath Shetty and others were also present.

The protestors later submitted a memorandum to Deputy Commissioner Mullai Muhilan.
