Dogs’ Day out in city

Mangalore, Feb 16, 2014: It was a perfect dogs’ day out. The event was the  first ever dog show organised by the Karavali Canine Club, Mangalore  and the  Bangalore Canine Club at Nehru Maidan  on February 16, Sunday. As many as 253 canines of  nearly 36 breeds took part in the show.

If 70 of the participant dogs were from the city, the remaining  were from Kerala, Maharashtra and other states. Srikar Prabhu, BJP leader inaugurated the show which  featured dogs  of  various breeds like boxer, Dobermann Pinscher, Rottweiler, St Bernard, Miniature Pinscher, Fox Terrier,  German Shepherd etc.

 

C V Sudarshan, Rajiv Shandilya of New Delhi and Kenneth Chuah of Malaysia were the judges.

T Preetham, President of  Karavali Canine Club,  Manoj Narvekar, Vice President, Prasad Aithal, Secretary and others were present.
