Duo from Bengaluru, Kashmir arrested for online fraud

Mangaluru, December 11, 2024: Two men, one of them from Bengaluru and another from Jammu Kashmir, were arrested in connection with a case of online scam wherein a Konaje resident lost lakhs of rupees.

Those arrested are Amir Suhail from Bengaluru and Suhail Ahmed Vani from Kashmir. The duo had reportedly sent a WhatsApp and Telegram link to the victim on July 21, 2024.  Later they said it was a wrong link and sent another link and asked the victim to pay Rs 1000 and then in phases withdrew  Rs 28,18,065 from the bank account of the victim.

A complaint was lodged in Konaje police Station. Police have already arrested five persons in connection with this case.
