Mangaluru, Oct 14, 2020: The district administration has allowed tiger dance troupes to perform within the premises of Temples during the upcoming Dasara and Navaratri festivities.
The decision taken during a meeting of Dharmika Parishad held on October 13, Tuesday has also made it mandatory for the temple administrations to ensure all Covid-19 guidelines are strictly followed. It was also decided that only ten members will be allowed in each Huli Vesha troupe. The temple administrations will be held responsible for any violations, it was informed at the meeting. Moreover performance of Huli Vesha troupes outside the temple premises and bursting of crackers is also prohibited.
The district administration which had earlier banned Huli Vesha performance during the Dasara celebrations has yielded to the demand of several organisations to permit the tiger dance performance which is synonymous with Dasara festivities in the district.
