Eminent thinker G Rajashekhar passes away

Udupi, July 21, 2022: Eminent thinker, writer and pro-people activist G Rajashekhar passed away at a private hospital in Udupi on July 20. He was 75 years old.

Rajashekhar who was a resident of Kolambe  is survived by his wife, two sons and a large number of admirers.

Rajashekhar was suffering from a rare  disease called Progressive Supranuclear Palsy(Parkinsons Plus) since 2019 and  was recently hospitalised due to lung related complications and was being treated at the ICU.

Rajashekhar who had always raised his voice against communalism had also  authored many fact-finding reports  on incidents of communal violence. He was also in the forefront in fighting for the cause  of  Dalits and the oppressed classes.
