Ex-mayor Sudhir Shetty builds house worth Rs 12 lakhs for poor family

Mangaluru, January 6, 2025: A new house Keshava Sadana constructed by former mayor Sudhir Shetty Kannur at his own cost for a poor couple near Vivekanagar in Kodialbail ward, was inaugurated with a formal house warming ceremony on Sunday.

The 50 year old tiled house of Ganesh had collapsed during heavy rains in 2024. The poor couple with 4 kids were distraught following which the then Mayor Sudhir Shetty had promised to build a house.

He kept his words and constructed the house at a cost of Rs 12 lakhs. This is the fifth house constructed by Sudhir Shetty free of cost.

Former minister Krishna J Palemar, RSS leader Dr Vaman Shenoy, Mayor Manoj Kumar, Mangaluru South MLA Vedavyas Kamath and others were present.
