Fake currency racket: Absconding accused arrested in Kasargod

Bantwal, February 27, 2025: Bantwal police have arrested a man wanted in a counterfeit currency circulation case and have produced him before the court.

The arrested man is Sharief P A of Chengala, Kerala. He was arrested at Vidyanagar in Kasargod. In 2024, police had apprehended two persons namely Mohammad and Qamarunnisa who were circulating fake currency notes in BC Road. Meanwhile, Sharief who had then managed to escape  has been arrested now.
