Fire mishap again at Catasynth Chemicals factory in MSEZ

Mangaluru, Aug 12, 2021: There has been a fire mishap at the Catasynth Specialty Chemicals Pvt Ltd at MSEZ  near  Suratkal on  August 12, Thursday. This is the second fire mishap in the factory in the recent  times. Earlier, a fire mishap was reported in April this year.

 

It is learnt the fire broke out during a welding operation. Thick smoke was seen billowing in the area.  Kadri fire tender vehicles as well as fire tender vehicles from HPCL and NMPT succeeded in dousing the fire.

There were no casualty as very few staff were present at the factory today.
