Fire mishap destroys fancy store at Navunda

Karkala, August 24, 2024: A fancy store at Navunda was gutted in a fire mishap on Friday. The store belonging to Pratima Acharya was closed when the fire was noticed.

Pratima who was in the shop till noon had later closed it and left for a temple. A little later locals noticed smoke in the shop located at Navunda Junction and alerted the fire service personnel.

Though the fire was doused, all goods in the shop were gutted and the loss has been estimated at Rs 3 lakhs.

The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
