Former member of Tulu Academy D.M. Kulal passes away

Bantwal, Aug 27, 2021: Former member of Tulu Sahitya Academy and senior journalist D.M. Kulal (54) died at his residence at Daipala here on August 26, Thursday afternoon. He is survived by his mother, wife, a son and daughter.

 

He had worked  for Mungaru, Mangaluru Mitra and Netravathi Varthe and was a contributor to various dailies. He had authored four books including one on the biography of  freedom fighter Ammembal Balappa. He was recently conferred the Chavadi Puraskara of the Tulu Academy at his residence.
