Fraudsters create fake FB account in Udupi DC’s name

Udupi, April 11, 2021: Fraudsters have created a fake Facebook account in the name of Udupi Deputy Commissioner G Jagadeesha  with the objective of placing request from money from his contacts.

It is learnt the fraudster who created the fake account had sent  friend requests to many and had  made a request for money once the friend request was accepted. A few who  received such request for money realising that this was the act of a fraudster had immediately brought it to the notice of the Deputy Commissioner.

The DC has  posted a screenshot of the fake FB  account and the messages sent by the fraudster through the fake account and has requested the public not to fall prey to it., He has also said that he has already lodged a complaint.
