Free cancer awareness and screening at K.S. Hegde Hospital

Mangaluru, Nov 30, 2022: Justice K. S. Hegde Charitable Hospital a unit of  Nitte (Deemed to be) University in association with  Indian Cancer Society and Sevanjali  Prathishtana, Farangipet has organised free cancer screening and awareness camp at Hospital premises on 30.11.2022.

 

 

 

More than 50 people availed the benefits of this camp. Different types of cancer screening including Pap smear, Mammography were done free of cost in this camp. And information about cancer was given through video presentation.

In this camp, doctors from departments of Oncology, General Surgery, Gynecology, Oral and maxillofacial surgery have participated and did the checkup for the participants.

Dr. Jayaram Shetty from the department of Oncology, Dr. Rohith Holla from General Surgery, Dr. Smitha Rao from  Breast and Endocrine Surgery, Dr. Aravind from Oral and maxillofacial surgery and Medical Superintendent Dr. Sumalatha R. Shetty gave awareness  talks on early diagnosis of cancer, precautions, and treatments for different types of cancers.
