Gandhi statue at Kannur harmed by miscreants

Kasargod, Mar 08, 2018:  Statue vandalism  has continued even on February 8, Thursday with the  statue of Mahatma Gandhi at Taliparamba in Kannur harmed by some miscreants.

The incident is learnt to have occurred at around 8.30 am. The spectacles and  garland on the statue  have been thrown apart while a futile attempt has been made to desecrate the statue.

The statue of Mahatma Gandhi in a seated position is close by the Taliparamba Taluk Office.

Local police have rushed to the spot and  are undertaking further investigations.
