Godown in Ullal catches fire

Mangalore, Aug 27: A godown in Ullal caught fire, resulting in a loss of Rs. 5 lakh, revealed police sources.

The godown was located in Kuthar Mundoli within the jurisdiction of the Ullal police station. A short circuit is believed to have caused the fire. The owner of the godown is Mr. Fayaz of Krishnapura near Suratkal.

Fire tenders rushed to the godown in time and put off the fire after one hour. The faulty wiring system of the building is held to be responsible for the fire.
