Mangaluru, Feb 20, 2017 : The lake and the flower garden of Kudroli Shree Gokarnanatha Kshetra have been named after late Narayanaswamy, a senior leader of the Billawa community. Former union minister B Janardhana Poojary unveiled the plaque in this regard at a ceremony held at the shrine on February 19, Sunday.
Speaking on the occasion, Poojary said it is the duty of the soceity to commemorate those who have contributed towards the well-being of the sciety. Recalling the services of late J P Narayana Swamy, Poojary said the temple lake and garden have been named after him in recognition of his yeoman services.
Temple Committee Chairman H S Sairam, Padmaraj R Karkera, Harishchandra, Shekhar Poojary, Mahabala Suvarna, J Shanker, Dr B G Suvarna, Dr Anasuya, Jayavikram Sorake, Devadas Contractor, Chandan, Malathi J Poojary and others were present.
