Gold worth Rs 81 lakhs seized from 2 passengers at Kannur airport

Kasargod, Mar 15, 2023: Customs  officials at the Kannur Airport have seized  gold worth Rs 81 lakhs which was smuggled by two men.

 

Kasargod resident Abdul Latif who had arrived from Sharjah was taken into custody for possessing 1157 grams of gold worth Rs 65.50 lakhs. He had concealed the gold in his socks.

In another case, gold weighing 294 grams and valued at around Rs 16 lakhs was seized from Salman Faris from Chattanchal. He had concealed the gold inside a cooker.
