Mangalore, February 28: The Government Industrial Training Institute, Kadri Hills, celebrated its Golden Jubilee on Feb 28, Sunday.
The foundation stone laying ceremony of the COE Block of the ITI was inaugurated by State Labour Minister B N Bache Gowda. The financial assistance for this Rs 85-lakh project is being provided by the World Bank.
The minister spoke about the significant role played by industries in the development of India. Later, he visited the “Do It Yourself” gallery, where prototypes of various operational systems in electrical, mechanical, and automobile engineering and telecommunications were displayed. Part of it comprised embroidery and artwork contributed by women.
The minister also interacted with the students and expressed his appreciation for their knowledge, skills, and intelligence.
