Govt. will approve Ranga Mandira project, says Dinesh Gundu Rao

Bantwal, February 6, 2025: Minister in charge of Dakshina Kannada Dinesh Gundu Rao said on Wednesday that the government will give administrative approval to the ₹9.95 crore Ranga Mandira project in Mangaluru.

Speaking at a meeting relating to the project at Bantwal, the Minister said that the proposal is now before the government. “I have discussed the matter with Shivaraj Tangadagi, Minister for Kannada and Culture. The administrative approval will be given,” he said.

Once the government approves the project, the Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) should invite bids for taking up the project at Bondel.

The MCC, the Mangaluru Urban Development Authority, and the Department of Kannada and Culture should meet the funds required for interiors and sound and light system, he said.

The Minister asked the Deputy Commissioner to include the approach road and other basic infrastructures required in the project plan.
