Grand human chain marks International Day of Democracy in Dakshina Kannada

Mangaluru, Sept 15, 2024: A grand human chain event was held on Sunday, September 15, in Dakshina Kannada district to celebrate International Day of Democracy. Participants formed a chain stretching from Mulki Hejamady Toll Gate to Sullia Sampaje Gate.

Thousands of students and key figures from various organizations and institutions took part in the event, which officially began with a session at KPT Circuit House near Mangaluru. The event started at 9:30 AM, with cultural performances by art troupes adding to the vibrancy of the celebration.

Dignitaries including MP Capt. Brijesh Chowta, MLC Manjunath Bhandari, Mangaluru Mayor Sudheer Shetty Kannur, and District Commissioner Mullai Muhilan attended the event.
