Grand procession of Tulunadda Jatre focus tulunad culture

Mangalore, Jan 5, 2013: ‘Tulunadda Jatre- Bale Ter Oyipuga’ was organized in city to mark the silver jubilee celebration of Sri Kshetra Odeyoor under the leadership of Sri Gurudevananda Swamiji on January 5, Sunday.

 

 

 

 

 

 

A grand procession of Tulu Teru accompanied by Kalasha, Chende Mela, Kombu-Vaadya, tiger dance and tableau of folk, fishing, Kambla, Nagabana and agriculture was carried out from Ambedkar Circle (Jyothi) to Nehru Maidan.

Various Tulu Teru including Mudai Teru from Sullia, Tenkinakai Teru from Chandragiri, Badakai Teru from Barkooru converged in the city.

As a part of event, an exhibition of old materials of Tulu nadu, old coins and notes, organic rice, foods of Tuluvas and Tulu books were arranged at Nehru Maidan.
