Groom goes missing on Mehendi day; wedding cancelled

Udupi, August 20, 2024: In a shocking case, a youth from Alivekodi who was scheduled to marry a young woman of Uppunda village at a venue at Nagur on Monday, went missing on Sunday when arrangements were complete for the Mehendi ceremony. As search for him went futile the wedding has been cancelled.

The Mehendi ceremony was arranged at the groom’s house on August 18 and the groom had even purchased jewellery. He had come home and then left saying he had to purchase some things. He has left behind his bracelet and mobile phone at home.

The panic-stricken family members and relatives searched for him, but in vain.
