Hangyo Ice Cream Aims to Become No. 1 in the State: Pradeep G Pai

Mangaluru, March 2, 2025: “Our vision is to become the No. 1 brand in the state,” said Mr. Pradeep G Pai, Managing Director of Hangyo Ice Cream Pvt. Ltd., at a special gathering held at Avatar Hotel, Mangaluru, for the company’s distributors and retailers.

Addressing the audience, Mr. Pai emphasized that expansion and continuous innovation are the key pillars of business growth in today’s competitive market. “Hangyo Ice Cream is currently among the top 12 brands in India and ranks No. 2 in the state. Our journey so far has been remarkable, and we are committed to scaling even greater heights,” he added.

A Legacy of Growth & Expansion
From its humble beginnings in a small unit in Brahmavara on 1st February 2003, Hangyo Ice Cream has grown exponentially. Today, the brand operates across seven states—Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Goa, and Maharashtra—with a robust network of over 410 distributors.

Expressing gratitude to the distributors and retailers present at the event, Mr. Pai acknowledged their invaluable contribution to Hangyo’s success. “Your unwavering support has played a pivotal role in making Hangyo a household name, and we look forward to achieving even greater milestones together,” he said.

Scaling New Heights in the Ice Cream Industry
Mr. Dinesh Shenoy, COO of Hangyo Ice Cream Pvt. Ltd., highlighted the rapid growth of the ice cream industry in India. “The industry has witnessed tremendous expansion, generating revenue of INR 800-900 crore in 2024-2025. More than 28 crore happy customers have enjoyed Hangyo products, which are crafted at our two state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities with a daily production capacity of 1.25 lakh liters of ice cream,” he stated.

Looking ahead, Mr. Shenoy announced Hangyo’s plans to launch a third manufacturing facility in Tirupati, further strengthening the brand’s production capabilities. “We are also integrating advanced technologies to streamline operations and introduce new, innovative products to delight our customers,” he added.

In a significant brand collaboration, Hangyo Ice Cream unveiled its new logo unit, marking its continued association with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) for the second consecutive IPL season. The partnership reinforces Hangyo’s commitment to engaging with cricket fans and expanding its brand presence.

As part of its drive to introduce innovative and premium products, Hangyo launched ‘Choco Roadie’, an indulgent new addition to its popular RAVE series. This latest offering underscores the brand’s dedication to crafting unique flavors that cater to evolving consumer preferences.
