Head-on collision between 2 buses near Kudupu Temple ; several injured

Mangalore, Feb 5, 2013 : Several bus passengers were injured when two buses collided head-on near the Kudupu Ananthapadmanabha Temple on the morning of February 5, Tuesday.

Sources said nearly 10 passengers have sustained serious injuries while as many as 20  suffered minor injuries.

The accident occurred at a turning near the temple when the Jain Travels bus operating on the Karkala-Mangalore route rammed against another private bus Pradipta which was heading towards Naravi from Mangalore.

The injured passengers have been admitted to AJ Hospital and Tejaswini Hospital. Even the drivers of the two buses were injured in the mishap.

Kankanady police have registered a case.
