Head on collision of buses at Balmatta road : Five injured

Mangalore, August 30: In a shocking early morning accident at Balmatta road near hotel Roopa, a city bus collided with another head-on at 6 AM, Monday, August 30. Most of passengers on both the buses have escaped with minor injuries.  Five persons are taken to the Wenlok hospital.

 

The injured are Dolphy, Yusuf (driver Maroli bus), Noufal, Chandrahas, Karmin D’Souza.

City bus, 44 D, collided with the bus came on the one-way from Hanpankatta junction said an eye witness. Both the buses are badly damaged in the impact of the collision.

 

It may be noted that the Balmatta road is a one way but many vehicles don’t care about it as there is no policemen seen on this area,  early morning and late night. Accidents keep happening every now and then. Yet the traffic police is not bothered to check the offenses .
