Heavy rains in Udupi results in flooding at several places

Udupi, July 8, 2024: Heavy rains that have been lashing Udupi since the past few days has resulted in water logging and artificial floods at several places. Occupants of hundreds of houses are inconvenienced. Water has gushed into many shops resulting in loss of goods worth lakhs of rupees.

The fire service personnel and City Municipal Council authorities are making efforts to shift the affected people to safer places.

Some of the worst affected places include the parking area of Krishn Mutt, Kalsanka Bailakere, Matadabettu, Karamballi, Gundibailu, Nittoor, Moodanidambur, Malpe and other places.

Udupi CMC Commissioner Rayappa, Environmental Engineer Sneha K S and others visited the affected places.
