Hebri : Car goes up in flames, driver escapes unhurt

Hebri, Mar 16, 2021:      A moving car    went up in flames all of a sudden on the Someshwara Road in Mudrady Gram Panchayat limits on Tuesday morning.  The  car driver managed to escape unhurt.

 

Ramesh of Haveri origin  was returning home in his Maruti Alto car after finishing a Pooja  at Hiriadka at around 5 am when the mishap occurred. Ramesh managed to get out of the car as soon as he noticed the fire.

Fire tender vehicles rushed to the spot and extinguished  the fire.  However the car was completely gutted by then.

A short circuit in the car battery is suspected to be the reason for the fire.
