Hebri: Labourer washed away in overflowing stream

Hebri, July 19, 2024: A labourer was washed away in an overflowing stream at Nellikatte Cheerolli in Nadpalu village on Thursday evening.

The labourer has been identified as Anand (45) of Tumakur origin. He had to cross the tributary of Seethanadi to reach his place of work. The stream did not have any bridge or any other facility to cross and Anand was crossing the overflowing stream with the help of a rope which got snapped and he was washed away.

It is learnt, he worked in the residence of Manorama Hegde of Nadpalu since several years.

Hebri police have visited the spot and registered a case.
