Hijab row : Holiday for Bharath PU College, Ullal even today

Mangaluru, Feb 28, 2022: The Bharath Pre-University College where a Hijab row had cropped up last week, has remained closed even on Monday as the college management has decided to grant holiday.

 

The College management had restricted  the entry of girls wearing Hijab since last Thursday. On Friday a few students had staged a protest following which the local MLA  U T Khader had convened a meeting with the  college management but of no avail.

The director of the college management board, Manoj Salian has said the college will function  from Wednesday by adhering to  government guidelines  as it is an aided Pre-University College.
